Summary

Rise Sister Rise is for the women who agreed at soul level to be here at this stage in history to lead this global shift that the mystics of all of the ages have predicted: the return of the mother and the rise of the feminine。 It is essentially a call to arms for women to rise up, tell their truth, and lead。
Most women have spent much of their working lives “making it” in a man’s world, leaning on patriarchal methods of survival in order to succeed, dulling down their intuition, and ignoring the fierce power of their feminine。 They have ignored the cycles of the feminine in order to survive in a patriarchal linear system – but now the world has changed。

Rise Sister Rise is a transmission that calls the innate feminine wisdom to rise。 It is about healing the insecurities, the fears, and the inherited patterns that stop women trusting the Shakti (power) and wisdom (intuition) that effortlessly flows through them。 It's about recognizing all of the ways we have been keeping ourselves contained and restrained in effort to fit into a certain archetype of woman。 It’s about co-creating a whole new archetype of woman – a woman who does not keep herself small in order to make others feel more comfortable。 A woman who knows like she knows like she knows that she is not her body weight, her sexual partners, or her career。 A woman who deeply respects the wise woman in her life and cultivates her own wisdom every single day。

Full of tools, calls to action, contemplative questions, rituals, and confrontational exercises, this book teaches women that it is safe to let Shakti rise, safe to trust their intuition, and safe to take leaps of faith – because in healing ourselves we are healing the world。

Not my jam。 Ended up not finishing it as I found it too fluffy and self involved。

This was a really fun and uplifting read! A bit deeper on the new agey spectrum than I'm used to, but once I got into it I really enjoyed it。 I recommend it as part of a daily mindfulness ritual, for me that meant reading a passage or two every morning。 Rise Sister Rise helped me consider how I can better embrace my cyclical nature instead of constantly working against it (as capitalism requires)。 I've recommended this book to a few women in my life, and suspect I will continue to do so! It was a right, but a lot of it seemed a bit too Eat Pray Love for me。 It's like, "Good for you that you have enough money to go on these amazing pilgrimages to different places in England and whatnot and that you have these amazing 'wise woman' friends, but not all of us have those things like money and amazing friends and you can't just 'manifest' them no matter what The Secret says。" The Universe isn't your magic vending machine that will give you whatever you want if you believe hard enough。 It was a right, but a lot of it seemed a bit too Eat Pray Love for me。 It's like, "Good for you that you have enough money to go on these amazing pilgrimages to different places in England and whatnot and that you have these amazing 'wise woman' friends, but not all of us have those things like money and amazing friends and you can't just 'manifest' them no matter what The Secret says。" The Universe isn't your magic vending machine that will give you whatever you want if you believe hard enough。 。。。more

I found this book incredibly interesting。 Rebecca Campbell ends each chapter with thought provoking questions that really ask you to think deeply and honestly about where you are in life and what you want。 Also some brilliant bits of historical information。

Beautiful & light, it’s the kind of book that you can pick up from the shelf at any time。 Always fun to dive back into Rebecca’s wise words。

It was a an easy read with lots of questions of inquiry。 She talks about birthing a new age, remember our cycle nature, unbinding the wild woman and redefining sisterhood。

Loved this book。 It bought out the warrior in me that I have known to be there all the time。 Empowering words, short and to the point writing the mantra at the end of each chapter。

Such a powerful and insightful book, especially if you take the time to reflect and journal on the prompts。 You could definitely take something new away every time you pick up the book。 This is definitely a must-read if you are on a spiritual/woo path and exploring who we are as women。 I felt entirely motivated, inspired, and loved reading this book。

I listened to this book on Audible and really struggled with getting into it。 I almost gave up on it, but am so glad I didn’t。 About 1/3 of the way in, it started really resonating with me and I began savoring every word。 I didn’t want this book to end and plan to listen to/read the other books written by this author。

I loved this book and had to finish it all in one day。 Though the title is Rise Sister Rise, it's really a calling to all souls to rise above, open yourself up and activate the calling you've been hearing。 This is a lovely book inspiring you to listen to your own nature, to rekindle what has been lost and to awaken to what you can be。 It starts off with her personal journey which I won't lie, I wasn't thrilled about。 Usually when an author shares their personal story to enlightenment, I roll my I loved this book and had to finish it all in one day。 Though the title is Rise Sister Rise, it's really a calling to all souls to rise above, open yourself up and activate the calling you've been hearing。 This is a lovely book inspiring you to listen to your own nature, to rekindle what has been lost and to awaken to what you can be。 It starts off with her personal journey which I won't lie, I wasn't thrilled about。 Usually when an author shares their personal story to enlightenment, I roll my eyes。 But Rebecca's story is actually interesting to read and it's filled with tidbits of information that keep you connected。 We've all had those moments where we are totally in synergy with our routine and spiritual practices and then we fall off the bus and forget what we were doing。 The breaks in between our spiritual evolution that are necessary to help in the transformation and integration process or our desire to constantly move forward but that it's not practical。 Her story is inspiring and a reminder that we're only human。 We can only do our best in each moment。 I loved the section on our past history and her insight on how women judge and compete with one another now and how that could have been encoded in us from the Witch burnings of long ago。 I loved her encouragement to be yourself, stop seeking validation or comparing yourself to others。 This is a practice I have been following for a few years myself。 I found it refreshing to read it。 Our weakness is our strength and through that, we can do anything。 This is a calling to activate the divine within you and to find your true nature。 You do not need to be new to your path to enjoy this book as I feel many will appreciate the positive messages and examples。 The exercises/questions are very eye opening and I found myself doing many。 Even going back to try them again as integrated information from other chapters。 A true sisterhood would be as she describes: un-judging, supportive, guiding and loving。 。。。more

So many good nuggets。 As a whole, it could have been half the size due to receptiveness。 Biggest take away: women relationships with each other and the longing of sisterhood。

The message and content of this book is good, but it also seemed simplistic and presents ideas which are not new。 If someone was first embarking on their spiritual journey perhaps this would be a good book to start。 I have listened to much of Caroline Myss's work and much prefer her style and way of conveying messages。 The content of this book is good, but the way it is conveyed seems too simple for me。 It kind of feels like the entire book is walking in circles saying the same thing。 I didn't f The message and content of this book is good, but it also seemed simplistic and presents ideas which are not new。 If someone was first embarking on their spiritual journey perhaps this would be a good book to start。 I have listened to much of Caroline Myss's work and much prefer her style and way of conveying messages。 The content of this book is good, but the way it is conveyed seems too simple for me。 It kind of feels like the entire book is walking in circles saying the same thing。 I didn't feel captivated during this read。 Anyone else feel the same? 。。。more

In all fairness there were parts of this book that I truly loved and parts that felt completely repelling, making me wanna give up on it。 But I just skipped the parts where she started talking about witchcraft, workship and reincarnation of all sorts, which isn't sane for me。 A messy book to say the least but the good parts were Really good (although you can find that in better books it deserves a 3) In all fairness there were parts of this book that I truly loved and parts that felt completely repelling, making me wanna give up on it。 But I just skipped the parts where she started talking about witchcraft, workship and reincarnation of all sorts, which isn't sane for me。 A messy book to say the least but the good parts were Really good (although you can find that in better books it deserves a 3) 。。。more
